JACL Issues

The JACL strives to meet the following objectives:

• Eliminate discrimination and racism.
• Promote future Asian American leadership.
• Fight for the rights of Asian Americans and anyone victimized by social injustice.
• Portray Asian Americans positively in the media.
• Increase equal employment opportunities for Asian Americans and other minorities in the public and private sectors.
• Support legislative initiatives that provide for the welfare of Asian Americans.
• Educate and perpetuate the Japanese American experience.
• Contribute to the welfare of Japanese Americans and the greater Asian Pacific Islander communites
